At TruSmile Dentistry in San Antonio, TX, All-on-4 dental implants use four strategically placed implants to support a full, secure denture arch — often completed in just one or two appointments. Because the implants anchor the denture directly to the jawbone, patients no longer need to rely on adhesives, creams, or strips to keep a denture in place. Most implants fully heal within about six months, after which the final denture fits securely and comfortably for the long term.

If your current denture or partial is constantly slipping, loose, or uncomfortable, All-on-4 implants may be a better long-term solution. A traditional denture rests on the gums and can shift while eating or speaking, while All-on-4 implants are anchored to the bone itself, giving you a more natural fit, a more confident bite, and a more realistic-looking smile. For patients who want a similar level of stability without full-arch replacement, implant-supported dentures are worth discussing with our team as well.
We proudly welcome patients from Stone Oak, Shavano Park, Castle Hills, and surrounding San Antonio communities for All-on-4 treatment.
Most patients who want to replace a full arch of missing or failing teeth are good candidates for All-on-4. A few things we'll look at during your consultation:

Before any implants are placed, we'll walk you through your sedation options, which may include IV sedation, so the procedure is as comfortable as possible. We also use advanced imaging, including our in-office CBCT scanner, to precisely map your jawbone and plan implant placement before we ever pick up a handpiece.
During the procedure, small incisions are made in the gums and four titanium implant posts are placed into the jawbone. Over the following three to six months, the implants naturally fuse with the surrounding bone, becoming stable and secure. Once healing is complete, we take impressions and provide a custom-made denture designed to fit your new implants, along with guidance on how to care for it day to day.
All-on-4 procedures at our office are performed by Dr. Robert Lindeman, DMD, who has pursued additional training in advanced procedures including implants, root canals, and oral surgery. As a private practice, you'll see the same doctor throughout your treatment, from your first consultation through your final denture fitting.
Most patients complete the implant placement in one or two appointments, followed by a healing period of three to six months before the final denture is placed.
We offer sedation options to keep you comfortable throughout the procedure, and most patients report manageable discomfort during recovery, similar to other oral surgery procedures.
Bone loss doesn't automatically rule out All-on-4. In many cases, we can perform a bone graft first to build up the jawbone so it can support implants.
The best way to know is a consultation, where we'll review your health history, examine your jawbone, and talk through your goals to determine whether All-on-4 or another restorative option is the best fit.
